Depot Day This Weekend
This Saturday, October 12th, is the annual Gainesville Depot Day. If you're new around here, Depot Day is a celebration of how Gainesville was reinvigorated by becoming a train stop in the late 19th century. It's a day of fun, games, vending, sights and sounds, and did we mention fun? It lasts from 10 AM to 10 PM, so there's plenty of time to come and enjoy.
The Depot Day also hosts the biggest annual car show in the area, featuring over 200 cars for your enjoyment. Live entertainment will be on the southwest corner of the town square, and will feature the Lonestar Action Sports Stunt Team. There will also be plenty of arts and crafts vendors, a kid's zone, and of course, plenty of festival food.
The square will start closing down at 5, but don't worry; Depot Day is just switching over to night mode! Depot Day After Dark will be a few blocks over at the farmer's market, where the action continues after sunset. There will be food trucks, as well as the popular bands Texas Flood and Time Machine.
Don't miss it!
